Hi-Lo kicks off Happy, Healthy Hearts Fitness Sessions
In celebration of Heart Month, Hi-Lo has partnered with LASCO to host free fitness sessions for their customers every Saturday in February, to demonstrate how developing a habit of exercise can help to minimise the risk of heart disease.
“At Hi-Lo Food Stores, we pride ourselves on being customer-focused. Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death across the world, and the number one killer of women in Jamaica. Not only do we want to arm our customers with the best food possible for proper nutrition, we decided to go a step further for heart month, and offer these free sessions,” explained Donna Taylor-Wright, customer experience manager at Hi-Lo Food Stores.

The classes began on February 4 at Hi-Lo Barbican with Patrice White of Dynamic Lifestyle, and will move to Portmore on the 11th and Liguanea on the 18th with Steve Ming. The final one will be held at Hi-Lo Fairview in Montego Bay, on the 25th with Kurt Coy.
Commenting on the partnership, Catherine Goodall, marketing manager, Beverages at LASCO said, “Lasco is a family brand and we’re all about health and wellness. When Hi-Lo approached us regarding the partnership, we didn’t hesitate to jump on board because we see the importance of living well, and we’re always looking for any opportunity to engage our consumers, and help them to enhance their lives in every way possible.”
Taylor-Wright added that as the company celebrates their 95th anniversary next Tuesday, every month they will have something exciting for their customers to enjoy.
