Today is the deadline for public sector workers to file their statutory declarations.

Declarations must be submitted to the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption.

Civil servants are required by law to file declarations outlining their assets and liabilities each year.

Persons who fail to submit declarations are liable for prosecution.

On conviction they may be fined up to $200,000 dollars or sentenced to two years imprisonment or both.
