JN Bank backs Jackie Bell KO

President of the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA), Wayne Shaw, has expressed his delight after JN Bank announced a $3 million sponsorship of this year's Jackie Bell KO competition.
The announcement was made by Carlene Edwards, sales promotion and events manager of JN Bank, at yesterday's press launch at the company's head office in Half-Way Tree.
Shaw said the new sponsorship will make the competition a lot more attractive for players and spectators.
"We are elated because there was a lot of negotiations, because this competition should have started from last December," said Shaw.
"I am expecting an exciting competition. Last season, we had a Super League team in the final, and so we are anticipating a lot of quality football from all the teams in this year's competition," Shaw added.
He called on fans to come out and support the competition as football in KSAFA is on the rise and "the quality of the football is there and teams are very organised and well coached".
COMMITTED TO GROWTH
Edwards said her company is very happy to be associated with the competition.
"JN is committed to the growth of football in Jamaica, in the same manner that we are dedicated to the development of those we serve with our financial products," said Edwards.
"We accept that sports is a dynamic vehicle through which we can empower our people, particularly our young men and women," she stated.
Meanwhile, the competition is set to get under way this weekend. Tivoli Gardens are defending champions.
The winners will receive $400,000, the runners-up will pocket $250,000, while the third-place team will take home $150,000, and fourth bag $100,000.
