"I feel really happy to know that for four straight years I have been the champion and I plan to go to nationals and win."
This is Rhonoya's fourth win. The 11-year-old is in grade seven at Titchfield High School. She says she enjoys her new school and her classes. She is a part of Girl Guides and the debate team. She also has her eye on the choir. Her favourite song is Fight Song by Rachel Platten.
Coach on winning:
"This year's preparation was somewhat easy because Rhonoya has been a participant for a few years, so she knew what needed to be done, and we are happy."
He admits that Rhonoya taught him how to prepare her for the parish finals, but intends to do more for nationals.
Fun fact:
Javede Rodney of Port Antonio Primary is the champion boy for the parish. This is the eight-year-old's second time entering the competition. Last year, he was also champion boy and placed second.
