Shanniqua Williams led home a Wolmer’s Girls one-two in the girls' Class Three high jump at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium earlier today.

A leap of 1.74 metres was the special height that brought gold for Williams, who finished ahead teammate Daneille Noble, who secured the silver with a mark of 1.71m.

Edwin Allen’s Aisa McKay earned the bronze medal on countback after also jumping clear of 1.71 metres.

Williams was almost perfect throughout, her only miss coming at her first attempt at 1.74.

NOble was also perfect until she failed all her attempts at 1.74, McKay, on the other hand, had first-attempt blips at 1.68 and 1.71.
