Jamaica’s Andrew Hudson and Rasheed Dwyer punched tickets to the semi-final round of the men’s 200 metres at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary this morning.

Hudson, in heat two, looked smooth throughout a race he finished behind world champion, the United States’ Noah Lyles.

Lyles won in 20.05 ahead of Hudson’s 20.25.

Rasheed Dwyer, in heat five, secured the final automatic qualifying spot with his 20.40 clocking behind America’s Courtney Lindsey (20.39) and Towa Uzawa of Japan, who won in a time of 20.34.

Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes is the fastest qualifier following his 19.99 run to take heat one.
