There will be two Jamaicans in the women's triple jump final of the 2024 Olympics tomorrow as national champion Shanieka Ricketts and Ackelia Smith booked their spots in contrasting fashion today.

Ricketts was an automatic qualifier with her first jump of 14.47m, surpassing the qualifying standard of 14.35m, while Smith left it late with her final jump of 14.09m placing her within the top 12 competitors.

Kimberley Williams missed out on qualification as her best attempt of 13.77m was outside the top 12 needed to advance.

The final is set for tomorrow at 1:20 p.m. Jamaica time.
