Windies trio nominated for ICC awards
West Indian cricketers Chris Gayle, Stafanie Taylor, and Deandra Dottin have been nominated for ICC Awards of the Decade.
The awards are a special edition of the ICC's yearly awards and will recognise men's and women's cricketers' achievements between January 1, 2011 and October 7 this year.
Gayle, a Jamaican, has been nominated for the ICC Men's Twenty20 International (T20I) Cricketer of the Decade , while his compatriot and Windies Women's team captain, Taylor, has been nominated for the Rachel Heyhoe-Flint Award for Women's Cricketer of the Decade. This award considers the three formats of the game, Test, One Day Internationals, and T20Is.
Dottin, a Barbadian, has been nominated for the ICC Women's T20I Cricketer of the Decade.
