The Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run looked very different this year than in previous years. The annual charity road race featured masks, social distancing and lots of sanitisers, as fewer than 100 race participants, which included some of the country’s top long-distance runners as well as top finishers from previous Sigma Runs, took on a new double-loop course in New Kingston. Others, such as Supreme Ventures, took time to complete virtual runs at courses of their choice. It wasn’t the usual 25,000-strong but the charity raised over $46 million for its beneficiaries – the Annotto Bay and Port Antonio hospitals and the Get Back on Track one-year educational programme. Something Extra has the highlights.
