Phillips says the opposition would not object to the Government going to the National Housing Trust (NHT) to make up the shortfall.

The Jamaica Labour Party had threatened court action when the previous government took $11 billion from the NHT yearly for a four-year period to finance the budget.
The Standing Finance Committee is scheduled to meet from February 28 to March 2 to consider the estimates tabled by the government.
