The Port Antonio Suites of the Jamaica Pegasus was filled with friends, family, contemporaries, and past and present members of the diplomatic corps to congratulate Arnold Foote.

The occasion was the unveiling of his biography, Arnold Foote: The Making of a Global Visionary, written by Angela Ramsay, on Monday, January 22, 2018.

For some family members in attendance, the biography extolling the experiences of the patriarch is a legacy gift to pass on to upcoming generations.

The outpouring of love and support for Foote was palpable as the 100-plus guests milled about to express congratulations.

Foote's friend of 72 years, R. Danny Williams, also regaled the gathering of exploits from the first day they met at Jamaica College, through his years at GraceKennedy, to being at the helm of Advertising and Marketing Jamaica (AdMark) for nearly 50 years.

The biography examines his journey through love, faith, injustice, and vindication and catalogues the troves of accomplishments, awards, and medals amassed over his time of service to Jamaica as a member of the Government and as honorary consul to Turkey since 1994.

The 500-plus page hard-cover tome is filled with fascinating images of his family, his declaration as an honorary citizen of Accra, Ghana, and his extensive travels as the president of the World Federation of Consuls.

The paperback will be available in stores soon.
