Fashion rules on the boardwalk at BRT All-White

The recently concluded BRT Weekend All-White Party carried the usual all-white theme, and in a sea of white fabric, it was difficult to distinguish who coordinated accessories and wore the best fashion.
It would appear that the majority of female patrons had an unspoken agreement that they would wear similar designs, as the majority turned out wearing transparent attire.
Nevertheless, the females were out to frolic and a few told The Gleaner that BRT Atlantic City seems poised to be one of the biggest.
Latoya Smith from New York said she was a BRT loyalist.
“I am a big fan of this event, especially because they travel to different places. This one is new to this area and I like the change. Also the audience was one of the biggest I have seen aside from Florida Caye. I like the boardwalk image and the fact that the area was secure and hassle-free,” she said.
The event saw strong sets from Coppershot and Code Red sound systems. Coppershot went for hip hop and trendy dancehall songs. They had patrons glued to the main stage as they delivered hits from the likes of Bobby Shmurda, Young M.A, Biggie Smalls and Mase.
Code Red, on the other hand, went for classic hit records. The sound system never once dropped the baton and even as they concluded their set, the high energy was maintained.
Fireworks and permits
The event ended minutes before midnight with fireworks. Patrons took the opportunity to capture the spectacle on their phones, while others simply held their partners tight, while soaking up the last moments of a well-spent BRT weekend.
Promoter of the event, Hanz Mullings, had the last word of the weekend with a monologue, giving thanks to the patrons. He also noted that it was no easy task getting permits to host such an event in Atlantic City, especially as a minority.
“We showed them that we can be civilised, we showed them that we are decent human beings. Thank you, and see you at the next BRT,” he declared over the microphone.
