A captivating experience at Earth Hour concert

The annual Earth Hour concert returned on Saturday night after a brief hiatus last year. And although the night belonged to Champs, the energy inside the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre was just as energetic.

The vibes was right and the entertainment mellow and on point. And for a free concert, there were zero complaints, as guests didn't get a mediocre show from any of the night's performers.

Zia was the evening's opening act and he delivered a blistering set. His vocal range thrilled the audience, as he delivered songs that serenaded the females from start to finish. His set left the audience amazed and no doubt, set the tone for the others to come.

Things only got better, as the night progressed with captivating sets from Lila Ike, Black Hero, Fantan Mojah and Steven Newland from Roots Underground. Lila Ike, the only female act on the night's roster, held her own and left the audience wanting more of her sweet musical offerings. She memorised with her talent and had guests completely captivated. Her set led persons into the official observation of Earth Hour at 8:30 p.m. Biodegradable lanterns lit up the night sky as was customary, as Jamaicans joined in on the global celebration of Earth Hour.

Fantan Mojah had the crowd standing at attention as he delivered hits such as Hungry, Stronger, Hail the King and Rasta Got Soul. He invited his friends (General B and Spring Wata) to share the stage with him during a blistering set.

Newland closed out the evening just after 10 p.m.,and patrons leaving the venue could be heard voicing their satisfaction and anticipation for next year's show.
