Miss Giajay Natural Gift & Body Shop Toshami Calvin is Miss Universe Jamaica 2022.
Calvin was crowned a short while ago by Miss Universe Jamaica 2021 Daena Soares inside the Grand Ballroom at the AC Hotel Kingston. She was also named Best in Evening Gown and tied with Miss WiPay Jamaica Shanique Singh for the Essence of Style Award.
Miss Millennium Paving Stones Ltd Rachel Silvera was named first runner-up, while Singh was named second runner-up.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
The Miss Universe Jamaica Beauty, Fashion and Wellness Pageant opened with a hair and make-up show presented by students of the Heart College of Beauty Services to show the true essence of Jamaica 60 style and featured performances by entertainers including Sevana and Gem Myers. Earlier in the competition, the semi-finalists performed choreography to Ding Dong’s Bounce.
Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 will represent Jamaica at the 2022 Miss Universe pageant. The official date and host country have not yet been released; however, the Miss Universe Organization has informed its national directors that the next staging of the pageant will be held in the first quarter of 2023.
The reigning Miss Universe is Harnaaz Sandhu. Sandhu was crowned at the 70th Miss Universe Organization competition in Eilat, Israel and brought the crown back to India for the first time in 20 years.
