Gleaner vendor thrilled at return of Rebel Salute
Reaping the fruits of her labour, 66-year-old Winsome Roxburghe has made her way to Grizzly's Plantation Cove, in St Ann, to witness the return of Rebel Salute.
Roxburghe, who makes her living selling The Sunday Gleaner near Red Hills Road in the Corporate Area, was one of the first patrons to enter the venue in Priory.
Clad in her blue tracksuit, with her VIP armband secured, she told The Gleaner she has been happily peddling the paper for over 20 years.
“My customers dem are very nice and we get along very much. I meet all different type of people,” she said.
As a veteran Rebel Salute patron, Roxburghe said she was looking forward to enjoying all the performances.
“Mi nuh have nobody special, mi just want enjoy myself cause the artistes are good,” she added.
