Ole' Pirates, KFC meals, jungles, towering castles and mansions alike - all in the form of cake! Dessert lovers and cake decor enthusiasts were exposed to artistic sweetness at one of the highly anticipated foodie events.of the season, Sweet Art Bake Expo.

Hosted last Sunday by We Magazine, the three in one suite at The Jamaica Pegasus was transformed into a decadent oasis for all in attendance to indulge. Patrons were not afraid to open their palates to the passionate possibilities of guilty pleasures. The tasty tour included, in no particular order, Blissful Bites by Delvenal, who delivered delectable black forest, carrot and cheesecake cupcakes, alongside decorative cakes in display. Victoria House and Creative Cakes and Decor All both rolled out a royal affair with their own unique twist on happily ever after and labour of love with their tiered bridal cakes and baby shower cakes

Alex's Creations presented a wide array of sinfully sweet delights which disappeared in hot pursuit. Kelsey's Kreations fused art with notes of elated flavours. Skimo's Pastries had everyone dipping in their cookie jar and returning for more. Bake Me Happy had everyone eating their scrumptious offerings from the palm of their hands while Savour it Ja sampling mouth watering carrot cake and Baked, who were all about the intoxicating jellies, put those visiting their booth in high spirits. Abbey's Treats made sweet dreams of red velvet, black forest and vanilla cake slices and cupcakes come true. Crowd pleaser Shanna created quite a crazy with her pastries. And Joy of Food did not disappoint in spreading sweet cheer. To sweeten the deal, Harbour Wines sampled some of their signature red, sweet and sparkling wines.

The exciting pre-decorating cake decor competitors on fabulous display gave way to the main attraction of the evening: the live cake decorating competition. Alana Williams of Fabulous Cakes by Alana and Shannakay Smikle of Shanna's Pastry Craze vied for the title of best cake designer. But there could only be one winner. In the end Fabulous Cakes walked away with the top prize.
