Flaming Flavours of Jacob's Place

Stirring their savoury pots and dishing out plates and boxes of gastronomic goodness is popular eatery Jacob's Place.

Known for being the food and entertainment hub of King's Plaza, they've recently moved to Springvale Avenue, this February to be exact. In fine culinary fashion, they have been making delicious deliveries in and around the city. "The reception has been good so far. We offered free delivery service last week and we got positive feedback. We have been sending out more deliveries in recent times because of our location," said owner of Jacob's Place, Nicola Whitelocke. She added that the only complaint she has received so far is that of parking, but shared that she's happy to be in a bigger space.

Dedicating her business' name to her son, Jacob, Whitelocke was inspired to tease and please taste buds by the time she has spent in the kitchen at home. Whether she is at the yard or abroad at her restaurant, she tries to put her signature touch on each and every mouth-watering meal.

Specialising in seafood, Whitelocke explained that she, along with her dedicated kitchen staff, has tasty themes for every day of the week. On Mondays, she takes on oriental pursuits, exploring your palates with Chinese cuisine. By Tuesdays, she 'jerks' things up the Jacob's way with fresh herbs and spices. After all that heat, it's time to simmer down with a variety of scrumptious stews on Wednesdays, make everything curry on Thursdays, return to her first love, seafood, on Fridays, before bubbling the pot with her Soup it up Saturdays.

For our viewing pleasure, chefs Maria Whittaker and George Clarke freshly prepared coconut curried fish, served with roti, escoveitched lobster along with fried breadfruit and festival, curried tripe and beans,, coupled with a bed of traditional rice and peas and steamed vegetables and steamed conch, complemented by Sunday-best rice and peas and vegetables.

So, for delicious food at affordable prices, make it a date and celebrate flaming flavours with Jacob's Place.
