So when event planners Chelsea Wauchope and Amanda Mckellar were faced with the sad reality of an unattainable dream due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the duo decided to make the necessary shift and give a different gift to the world, Brie+Vino.

“Events were no longer a possibility, and so we needed to find another way to curate beautiful experiences that persons could enjoy from their homes. We went through a series of brainstorming sessions until Brie+Vino Charcuterie Experience was born,” Wauchope told Food. The novel catering company opened its doors virtually in 2020 and currently offers an array of delectable options, suitable for every occasion, including boards, boxes and tablescapes with an assortment of gourmet cheeses, charcuterie meats, fresh fruits and crudités, tasty sweets, and savouries for your charcuterie experiences.

OVERWHELMING RESPONSE

Representing luxury and opulence, the name calls on its signature flavours, with Brie as the staple cheese in every box, and of course, wine. Brie+Vino has proven to be so much more than just a box or a gift to these entrepreneurs, it’s an experience best savoured in good company. “The response has truly been overwhelming. We are most grateful for the support. It’s not just a box or board with goodies. We take pride in the experience that we create; no box is the same. Customers love the burst of flavours that they get with the pairings that we offer, and what tops it off is the aesthetics,” said Wauchope. The wine inclusions, that are also available as add ons, include a variety of rosés, reds, whites, sweets and fruit, along with champagnes.

When asked which box was their favourite, the owners shared that it was The Brunch Box which had this honour. Not only is the namesake event a good idea to host, but the home-made waffles in this box, paired with one of their favourite jellies from partner Fenmade, is a taste of heaven in every single bite.

While Brie+Vino only offers a home charcuterie experience, it is looking to expand and launch the boutique version at a physical location when the pandemic allows.
