TGI Fridays launches Sunday Soca Brunch menu
TGI Fridays has launched a new brunch menu at its Old Hope Road location just in time for the Carnival season, and they are promising much more than delicious fare. “What you are going to get when you come in is a lot of soca music, full of energy and vibe at Fridays,” said Candace Villaroel, marketing and operations business partner for Fridays Trinidad and Jamaica.
The menu includes items such as a hangover burger, a burger featuring a juicy beef patty, fried egg, caramelised onions, peppered bacon, black pepper and horseradish sauce.
Other more traditional items include the Fridays French toast, Fridays pancakes, and a variety of omelettes. There is also the Jamaican chimichurri steak and egg. It features sirloin steak strips, sautéed with onion and peppers and topped with their original Jamaican chimichurri sauce. This hearty choice is served with two sunny side up eggs and a bagel.
There is also the waffles and chicken tenders, served with a side of maple syrup, topped with a dash of powdered sugar. And the smoked salmon and bagel breakfast, served with a plain bagel with cream cheese, red and green onions and capers.
For cocktails, TGI Fridays has this sorted also with a trio of mimosas (orange, peach and strawberry) which is the mainstay of any brunch. And for the more spirited palates, there is a spiked lemonade with vodka, a variety of sangrias, and even a whiskey-based chocolate milk shake for those with a bit of a sweet tooth.
“On the brunch menu we have different items that, of course cater, to the breakfast and lunch crowd, hence the reason [it’s] brunch. What is going to be very different about the Fridays’ brunch, is that you are going to get your traditional brunch menu items, but what is going to set us apart is the difference in cocktails. We have a lot of great cocktails, from sangrias to mimosas,” Villaroel said.
The Soca Brunch is not only for the adults. TGI Fridays also offers a complete kids’ menu loaded with kid-friendly options and mocktails.
“So, there are many options that appeal to our guests. You are going to get your items like your [pancakes], your French toast, and all-American breakfast. It really is an elevated menu supported by wonderful and refreshing coffee,” Villaroel said.
The Soca Brunch is available at TGI Fridays every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
