The Grammy’s had everyone on the edge of their seats last night. Check out the highlights and more happenings on the local scene in this week’s Weekend Shenanigans.

Performances

Bruno Mars and Cardi B hit the stage dripping in 'Finesse', Rihanna, Bryson Tiller and DJ Khaled brought the house down with 'Wild Thoughts' while Kesha, and friends stirred up emotions with her moving rendition of her hit song, 'Praying'.

And then there was Shaggy and Sting. Mr Lover Lover walked the red carpet before hitting the stage with Sting and all we can say is what’s not to love about this caramel and vanilla combination?

Awards

Bruno Mars won the Grammy for Album of the Year and Record of the Year for '24K Magic', and Song of the Year for 'That’s What I Like', and we can’t help but love him!

Damian Jr Gong Marley won the best reggae album. Talk of the town is that he got the award for being a Marley and people wanted Chronixx to win. Leave it to Jamaica to stir up some drama. Congrats Jr Gong!

Cardi B Red Carpet Appearance

In an interview on the red carpet with Guiliana Ranci of E News!, Cardi B explained that she was feeling good, nervous and overwhelmed about the Grammys, but in true Cardi B style, she completed her statement by saying she was feeling it all, butterflies in her stomach and her vagina? The video has been trending ever since, with mixed reviews. All we can say is, only Cardi B!

National Spouse Day

Last Friday was National Spouse Day, and couples got all sentimental 'cruising' their relationship, posted oldie but goodie photos and sweet memories of their partners

Party Done: Pop up Lockdown

Friday night's Xaymaca Pot Up Lyme at Barbican Beach was in full bubbling swing when just shy of midnight, the soca carriage turned into a pumpkin when the police pulled the plug on the party. According to reports, The Governor General wanted to get his ‘beauty’ sleep during his sabbath, and the music was disturbing his peace. Disgruntled party goers instead made music with their feet and voices, hoping for a musical miracle. But alas the GG had the last word.
