Jamaican teen believed headed for ISIS remains in police custody
The Police High Command says the Jamaican teen who was denied entry into Suriname and returned on Saturday remains in police custody.
The teen was denied entry into Suriname after authorities there theorised that he was heading to The Netherlands, then to Turkey to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
According to the police, detectives from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (C-TOC), along with other law enforcement agencies, have been mandated to pursue several lines of investigation in relation to the incident.
