Ann Marie Briscoe, the mother of one of the three teenage boys killed in the Monymusk Housing Scheme, weeps openly.

The murder toll in Clarendon continues to rise with the latest victim being a man in the northern community of Frankfield last night.

He is 21-year-old Clayton Howell, of Cow Pen district.

Our Gleaner-Power 106 News correspondent reports that Howell was in the town last evening when an explosion was heard in a crowd sometime about 7:00 o'clock. When the crowd dispersed, Howell was found suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

The police rushed him to the Spalding hospital where he died.

No motive has been established yet for the killing.

The killing comes while the parish is still trying to come to terms with the murder of three teenage boys and a 35-year-old man in the Moneymusk Housing Scheme last week in the southern section of the parish; while just last month, a 32-year-old female school warden was also shot to death in front of school children also in Frankfield.
