Aiming to take up 15 to 20 per cent of Jamaica's lubricant market, Top 1 Oil Products Company, USA, the largest exporter of synthetic lubricants from the west coast of the United States, in conjunction with Jamaica-based Island Lubes Distributors, successfully launched in the local and Caribbean markets last Thursday at the Spanish Court Hotel in St Andrew.

In line with the award-winning brand's expanding global success, a Bentley Continental GT, a convertible Mercedes Benz, and other high-end and classic vehicles graced the Valencia area of the Spanish Court Hotel. It was a signal to all that Top 1 Oil products are officially approved by some of the most prestigious original equipment manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz - Daimler, Chrysler, Lotus, Porsche, and Volkswagen.

DELIGHT ALL ROUND

Joseph Ryan, CEO of TOP 1, in from California, expressed delight at the company's entry into the region and looked forward to a successful partnership. Levy of Island Lubes Distributors was equally delighted and spoke to the brand's high-quality products and the benefits that will be passed on to consumers. Additionally, several TOP 1 products will be produced under licence in Jamaica by Lubricating Specialties Company Limited, making the island both a manufacturing and distribution centre.

Transport, inclusive of automotive, light and heavy-duty equipment, and the agriculture and mining sectors are all expected to benefit.

Other Island Lubes Distri-butors directors, Oliver Chen and Errol Wright were also on hand to enjoy the launch, which was attended by a slew of corporate and entertainment personalities. Jamaican born American actor Dule Hill (The West Wing and Psych) ate detective also spoke at the event.
