In an effort to connect with and show appreciation to its hard-working team, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has conceptualised a birthday club. Every last Thursday of the month, team members celebrating their birthday within that particular month will be feted. These persons are treated to cake, gifts among other goodies as part of the celebration.

Last Thursday, the first such celebration was held at the company's head office and hosted by comedian Lemon. The entire team

from administration to maintenance to production were all invited to take part in the activities which included a talent show, a dance-off with the Adrenaline dancers and a cake-eating contest, at the end of which participants were rewarded for their efforts with various Pepsi-branded goodies.

The event also featured performances from reggae and dancehall artiste Raine Seville and Ikaya.

"Our staff is the lifeblood of our business, we have to ensure that we treat them well. This is our way of giving back to them for their efforts," Miguel Alameda, managing director for Pepsi, said.
