Auxiliary fee policy on JC parents' agenda
Jamaica College (JC) parents are expected to discuss on Monday the Government's recent no auxiliary fee announcement and its likely impact on the school's operation.
"We need to put this matter on the agenda at this time and also explain to parents that they will still have to make an annual financial contribution to the school's development," said Betty Ashley, vice-president of the school's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
She said that the school's acting principal, Rohan Wong, will speak to the matter and urged parents to attend the meeting, which will start at 4 p.m. inside the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium at the Old Hope Road-based institution.
Ashley said that JC is placing special emphasis on academic performance and indicated that a recently implemented policy will also be discussed at Monday's PTA meeting.
