On June 14, Red Stripe presented $1.5m to the Ministry of Health to support its fight against the Zika virus. The presentation took place at the ministry's Grenada Way office.

Managing Director Ricardo Nuncio and head of corporate relations, Dianne Ashton-Smith, made the presentation to Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton.

"Too often, corporate entities don't recognise the connection between business and health at all. Taking personal responsibility is the first line of defence," Tufton said.

Nuncio said, "We are inviting the private sector to partner with the Ministry of Health to play its part, so that we can avoid a similar epidemic (to that which) we faced two years ago."
