19-y-o arrested after seizure of illegal gun, ammo

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody following the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Seivwright Close, Kingston 11 this morning.
Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that a patrol team witnessed when a firearm fell from pedal cyclist as he rode off on approach of the lawmen about 2:35 a.m.
He was accosted and the weapon – a 9mm Browning pistol and 21 rounds of ammunition – was seized. He was subsequently arrested. However, his identity is being withheld.
Investigations continue.
