State-owned oil refinery, Petrojam Limited, is seeking to assure that the petroleum market will be adequately supplied with fuel in the event that Tropical Storm Matthew affects the island in coming days.

Petrojam General Manager Winston Watson says the company has enough supply of products to last up to 21 days.

Watson says the company has activated its Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan.

He adds that plans are in place to extend the Opening Hours of the Loading Racks in Kingston and Montego Bay to facilitate adequate access to fuel supplies.

Petrojam is advising marketing companies to stock up on fuel to prepare for the possible impact of Hurricane Matthew.
