UPDATE: Three children among five killed in Spanish Town shooting; two others injured

Jennifer McDonald mourning the death of her daughter and grand children in the community of Africa in March Pen, St Catherine this morning.

Seven people were shot, five fatally, this morning on March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Three of those who died are children - ages two, nine, and 13. The other two are said to be ages 22 and 24. Their names have not yet been released.

According to Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Stephanie Lindsay, head of the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the incident took place about 1:30 this morning in an area known as Africa. The gunmen, who were said to be wearing police vests, kicked in the doors of four houses and opened fire, hitting seven occupants. 

The houses were set ablaze by the gunmen.

The injured, which includes a 14-year-old child, is reportedly in serious but stable condition at hospital.

The police are seeking Marvin Campbell, otherwise called 'Fatman', as a person of interest at this time. He is also wanted in connection with a previous triple murder and incest.
