NWA clears some roads affected by heavy showers

The National Works Agency (NWA) says a number of roads which were impacted by heavy rains this morning have now been reopened.

The NWA’s communications manager, Stephen Shaw, says the Junction main road in St Mary is among the corridors now reopened:

However, Shaw says the main road from Browns Town to Discovery Bay in St Ann remains cut off. He explains that a box culvert has been washed out in that area.

And he says a technical team will visit St Ann tomorrow to carry out assessments.
