Trench Town man charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Mexico Scheme, Trench Town, in St Andrew yesterday.
He is 39-year-old tiler, Franklyn Sutherland, from Mexico Scheme.
He is charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and is to appear before the Corporate Area Gun Court on November 27.
The Denham Town Police say about 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon, a police team was on patrol in the area when a man was seen acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion.
They say he was accosted and searched and a .38 Revolver along with four rounds of ammunition were found.
