Prime Minister Andrew Holness has given the clearest indication that lawmakers would be taking steps to tweak the law governing the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
He was responding to concerns raised by Leader of the Opposition Dr Peter Phillips yesterday in the House of Representatives in relation to the disarming of the police by the oversight body in the full view of the public.
Holness said his administration was of the view that there needs to be balance in how INDECOM operates.

While urging members of the security forces to obey the law, Phillips also urged the oversight body to be mindful of the circumstances in which the police operate.
