Phillips and PNP out of touch, says Chang after poll findings
Political commentator Kevin O’Brien Chang has labelled the Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) and its president, Dr Peter Phillips, as out of touch with Jamaicans.
His comments follow yesterday's release of the latest RJRGLEANER Group Don Anderson poll findings.
The poll found that 56 per cent of respondents felt the Opposition was doing a poor job, while 17 per cent said they were performing well and 27 per cent felt the Opposition’s performance was average.

It was even worse for Phillips who was thought to be doing a poor job by 60 per cent of respondents, with only 16 per cent saying he was doing a good job and 24 per cent finding him average.
Chang says this is because the Opposition has not presented alternatives to the government’s plans and is continuously speaking on issues about which most Jamaicans do not care.
However, Chang says while Phillips is out of touch, it’s not too late for him to do some reflection and make some changes.
He would not suggest a change of leadership, arguing that currently, there is no clear alternative to Phillips in the PNP.
