Global imaging solutions company Lexmark underlined its print, security and management capabilities as key advantages to businesses during its exclusive launch at the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Jamaica's President's Breakfast, which was held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel recently.

Jodel Felix, strategic segment consultant, Colour Business Solutions for Lexmark's Latin America and the Caribbean operations, gave details about services provided by the company.

He said: "Lexmark creates innovative imaging solutions and technologies that help you print, secure and manage your information with ease, efficiency and unmatched value ... each designed to help you do business more efficiently.

"What really sets us apart is that we have 25 years of experience understanding the industries our customers serve. As a result, Lexmark has a very strong presence with many of the largest organisations in the industries we serve, including nine of the top 10 global banks, nine of the top 10 retailers and eight of the top 10 federal agencies, to name a few."

Felix further highlighted the key components of their operations and their significance.

In relation to print, he outlined: "Our family of printers and smart MFPs have been recognised for speed, quality and reliability, and are equipped with device-based features that are intuitive to navigate and can walk your users through each step in a process.

"For example, taking advantage of features like mobile printing and capture can speed up your processes and provide a better user experience," Felix reinforced, before detailing the strength of their security system.

"We're very serious about the protection of your data, so our smart devices are equipped with built-in security features. And with our full-spectrum security capabilities, you'll have the option to add features that apply to your specific needs for compliance, monitoring and data-loss prevention."

Continuing, Felix explained their management set-up.

"Our managed print services, our industry-leading capture technology and hassle-free outsourced maintenance can help you manage your entire fleet of devices. We'll help you gain new insights that will make your fleet more productive and resolve problems proactively."

He added: "At the same time, our digital workflow solutions will enable you to more effectively manage and control the way your information is accessed and shared, moving paper-based information into a digital format as quickly as possible for fewer manual inefficiencies and faster customer service."

Wide portfolio

The company, which has its headquarters in Kentucky, United States, has a wide portfolio, as it sells its products and services in more than 170 countries, which in itself presents a good leverage point for its local partners.

To a large degree, this is the level of facilitation done through AMCHAM Jamaica, as outlined by its president, Alison Peart, during her outline at the event.

"Here at AMCHAM Jamaica, we want our members to know that we are here to help and promote their businesses through our international and local network," she said. "One of the benefits that we provide our members is this President's Breakfast, which is an event hosted to promote and market a particular product or service that our members want CEOs or decision-makers of particular companies to know."

Peart added: "We are pleased to see Lexmark, one of our newest members, showcasing its unique services via this President's Breakfast. Our President's Breakfast adds value and provide a great networking opportunity for all persons invited."

Among the over 100 guests were Dr Wayne Henry, director general, Planning Institute of Jamaica; Rebecca Gonzalez, channel development account manager, Lexmark; AMCHAM Jamaica CEO Gail Abrahams, and fellow board directors Ian Forbes, Andrew Pairman, Novlet Deans and Mauricio Pulido.
