Taxi operators withdrew their services over the past few days to protest aspects of the proposed Road Traffic Act, in particular, the clause that holds owners responsible for their drivers who breach certain laws. In the last #TalkbackTuesday, we asked: Do you support the taxi operators who withdrew their services in protest of the proposed Road Traffic Act?'

Here are a few of the comments:

- No. Roads safer without most of them for the past two days.

- I support them. The new amendments are too harsh and the government is being inconsiderate.

- Yes. How do you as an owner know when they've breached the law. This is damn crazy. This government is starting to make arrogant midterm mistakes.

- Nope. They make it bad for themselves. Even though I have to take taxi, I cannot support slackness and indiscipline.

- It affects you also. If your friend drives your car and runs the light, you're getting the ticket even though you were not driving.
