The Noranda Community Council staged its annual Christmas Carol Concert at the Port Rhoades Sports Club, Discovery Bay, on Monday, December 17.

The Council entertained a mixed crowd of Noranda employees, relatives and friends with a variety of Christmas music, from traditional carols to popular Jamaican improvisations of Faith D'Aguilar's Santa Ketch Up In A Mango Tree, Yellowman's Breadfruit Roasting On An Open Fire, and songs from the Fabulous Five Christmas Breeze A Blow collection.

The annual concert also had its lighter moments with a humorous stage play depicting the 'We Three Kings' getting lost on their trek to Bethlehem and finding themselves in Jerusalem being questioned by the wily King Herod - "We should have used our GPS!"

Cakes and sorrel rounded off the evening, with embraces and hand shaking accompanying a lusty rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association Vice-President Vana Taylor brought greetings on behalf of the association and the St Ann Chamber of Commerce.
