‘Breads’ charged for fatal Denham Town shooting
Twenty-eight-year-old Gavin Davidson, otherwise called 'Breads', was on Friday charged for the shooting death of a man on First Street in Denham Town, Kingston.
Davidson, who is from Third Street in the community, is charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm.
A date is to be set for him to appear in court.
The police say the shooting happened on Wednesday, January 31.
They report that about 10 p.m., the victim, 24-year-old Mark Ffrench of East Road in Kingston 12, was standing on First Street when he was pounced upon by gunmen who opened fire, hitting him multiple times.
The men escaped on foot in the area.
French was assisted to hospital by the police, where he was pronounced dead.
Davidson was arrested on Thursday, February 29, and was positively pointed out in an identification parade.
He was subsequently charged on Friday, March 01.
