Digicel says its systems are ready for Hurricane Beryl.

The telecommunication company says its cell sites are refuelled and critical supplies are in place.

Further, response teams are in position.

Digicel is appealing to Jamaicans to prepare for the bad weather and ensure their safety.

“It only takes one hurricane to cause untold damage and change our lives forever. It's still not too late to take action and plan for your family,” said Digicel CEO Stephen Murad.

“While we were hoping for a quieter hurricane season, it's very important for all of us to take action now and prepare. At Digicel, we're busy putting our house in order to make sure that our network and people are as ready as they can be,” he said.
