Power outages impacting water supply to some customers in St Catherine and Kingston

The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that area-wide power outages have disrupted operations at the Bybrook numbers 1, 2 and 4 facilities.

As a result, some communities in St Catherine and Kingston will experience low water pressure or supply disruption.

Areas impacted are: Kent Village, sections of Spanish Town, Spanish Town Road, Molynes Road, Washington Boulevard; sections of Downtown Kingston, Hamilton Gardens, Christian Gardens and Pen, Newland Road, Cumberland, Cedar Grove, Bridge View, Bridge Port, West Port, West Mead, Meadovale, Hamilton Garden, Sedow Manao, West Bay, Amarda Court, Edgewater, Waterford, Gregory Park, Braeton, Independence City, Eltham Acres, Eltham, Greendale, Keystone, St Jago Gardens, Patten Park, Richard Hall, Waterloo Gardens, and Ensom Acres.

Other areas also affected are: Bog Walk, Jew Pen, Knollis and its environs, lower Berwick, Shenton, West Prospect, Hyde Lane, Cashew Walk, and Mondella Drive.

“The facilities will resume full operation as soon as regular power supply is restored,” NWC said in a press release.

“The NWC regrets any inconvenience that may be caused and craves the patience and understanding of its valued customers.”
