PAC Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL), the operator of the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), has advised that the facility will be closed for six hours Thursday night into Friday morning for annual maintenance of the airport's electrical distribution system.

The closure will be from 10:00 p.m. on Thursday until 4:00 a.m. on Friday.

PACKAL says during this period critical safety and security systems will remain operational.

It says there are no flights scheduled during the maintenance window and, therefore, passenger travel will not be impacted.

However, passengers are still being advised to check with their respective airlines for flights outside of this period.

"This scheduled maintenance is part of PACKAL's ongoing commitment to ensuring safe and reliable airport operations," the airport's operator says.
