WESTERN BUREAU:

Two months after officially opening its doors, Montego Bay's newest resort, Jewel Grande, has unveiled its 21st century spa, 'Grande Spa', to the world.

The 30,000 square feet facility, which was named the 'Caribbean Sea of the Year', by the online media, 'Carib Journal', showcased its 14 treatment rooms and the region's first MLX (gharieni) quartz table at a cocktail reception hosted by general manager, Barbara Burton and spa director, Sienna Creasy.

"Our soon to be opened Himalayan salt room is another amazing feature of our spa and also a first in Jamaica. We know we have a spa that has something for everyone and all ages," said Burton to the group of guests, which included bloggers from Modeliste and local and international yoga experts.

Burton used the opportunity to invite guests visiting from near and far to experience Grande Spa's unique services, from a team of well trained spa therapists and wellness experts, "plus, the wealth of offerings that our vivacious spa director, Sienna Creasy has planned year round," Burton encouraged. These, she said include spa retreats, yoga sessions, 'reggaelates' cycling and much more.

She noted how excited she was about the future and the opportunities to come with the new luxury property to add to the tourism landscape in Jamaica.
