Three of Jamaica's best known and most widely respected shipping agents copped coveted prizes at the Jamaica Exporters Association (JEA) National Export Awards ceremony last week.

Seaboard Freight & Shipping Co Ltd, CMA CGM Jamaica Ltd. and Seafreight Jamaica Ltd, all members of the Shipping Association of Jamaica, were recognised in various categories for outstanding performance at the awards banquet, which is part of the series of events held annually in celebration of the JEA National Exporters' Month. Held at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston, under the theme 'Achieving Economic Growth through Excellence in Exports' the event highlighted the performance of businesses that are striving to expand export opportunities for the country.

Seaboard Freight & Shipping Ja Ltd was the runner up in the Exporter's Choice Sea Cargo category. Meanwhile, Seafreight Jamaica Ltd was the runner up in the Category 4 Service Champions award and CMA CGM Jamaica took home the Service Champions Category 3 runner up award.

The Shipping Association of Jamaica Award for Highest Tonnage through Port Bustamante was won by Petrojam.
