Samuel Hewitt is helping people achieve fitness, virtually
His love for fitness and seeing people become the best version of themselves were just a few of the reasons why 23-year-old Samuel Hewitt decided to whip people into shape.
Hewitt realised that persons, even while experiencing the compounded effects brought on by the harsh economic times and a global pandemic, were just as eager to get their minds and bodies right. So he capitalised on that with his online health and fitness brand Fit Nation.
“It was a good friend of mine from high school that called me one day, and while we were there sharing experiences with the pandemic and college he said ‘Why not start your own online personal training business?’ The next day Fit Nation was born. It was like God himself was speaking to me,” said Hewitt.
Fit Nation started with free live workouts on Facebook and Instagram. Now clients can receive online personal training and daily nutritional guides at a cost. The business has been going for about five months.
“I normally start from 6 a.m. and finish training at 9 p.m., with a couple hours in-between to get something to eat and get to complete assignments, whether school-based or for my business operations,” he said.
Hewitt’s interest in health and fitness began at Manchester High School where he was part of the track team, and later met gym enthusiasts who helped him on his fitness journey.
ADVANCED CAPABILITIES
His capabilities were advanced when he began training with Sweet Fitness Club International and learnt the fundamentals of personal training.
Currently a student at The Mico University College, Hewitt has over three years’ experience in personal training and more recently sports medicine.
“I am always researching, always working out, always pushing my team to work. I don’t have to help a million persons but if I can help to transform the life of one person, if I can change a life, then I would have been satisfied,” he said. “This is a full-time job. If you do not have the mindset, you may find it impossible to do, but this is a passion of mine, so it is more of a hobby for me.”
Hewitt said that he wished to “improve the health and wellness of others and give persons the body they deserve”.
I want to be remembered as someone who made an impact,” he said.
