Sagicor Bank treats clients to staycation

Three lucky Sagicor Bank Jamaica clients walked away with luxurious staycations at the all-inclusive Secrets Wild Orchid Resort in Montego Bay recently, when the bank announced winners of its credit card promotion, which ended in January.

Vanacia Johnson, Terry-Ann Heffes and Judine Johnson were pictures of happiness recently, as they accepted their hotel vouchers, which permit them and one guest to enjoy the all-expense paid three-night stay at the resort. Creating a fun and relaxing ambience for the clients, this priceless experience includes private concierge services, exclusive lounge access, ocean view suite with swim out pool feature, spa service for two, round trip from residence to hotel destination, helicopter ride around the hotel property, as well as one water activity for each winner.

Treat Yourself promotion

The bank’s ‘Treat Yourself’ promotion saw its Mastercard credit cardholders earning an entry into a raffle for every US$50 used when purchasing items online from international merchants, starting November 19, 2020. The lucky clients were then randomly selected from the raffle pool after the end of the promotion on January 15, 2021.

Sabrina Cooper, vice-president, cards and payments, Sagicor Bank, expressed congratulations to the winners and said the holiday campaign was the bank’s way of celebrating the season with its clients as well as supporting the local tourism sector.

“We realised that many persons shop online during the festive season and wanted to give them an opportunity to reward themselves even as they were purchasing items online for friends and family. This promotion was also our way of bolstering the tourism sector, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic, as well as to encourage Jamaicans to enjoy and experience our beautiful island,” she said.

Under the promotion, Sagicor Bank also offered 10,000 bonus reward points to new cardholders who signed up during the campaign period and allocated one reward point for every US$1 spent using the bank’s Mastercard credit card, to existing cardholders rewards tally.

A US$15 rebate on shipping courier charges was also offered to clients who used their Sagicor Bank Mastercard credit card to pay for the shipping on online purchases, as well as the item purchased. The rebate was applicable to qualifying transactions done between November 23 and December 25 and has been applied to the cardholders’ accounts.
