Raheem Sterling wants to leave Liverpool
Jamaican-born winger Raheem Sterling is reportedly expected to tell Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, that he wants to leave Anfield this summer.
The England forward has already turned down a contract for 100,000 British pounds a week.
According to the BBC, Sterling will meet Reds chief executive Ian Ayre and Rodgers on Friday, when he is set to report that he wants to go.
The club has declined to comment, but it is understood it still wants the 20-year-old, whose deal ends in 2017.
Should Sterling be made available, Manchester City remain the front runners for his signature, but Arsenal and a number of leading European clubs have also expressed an interest.
While Liverpool insists it will not sell Sterling for any price this summer, its resolve may be tested by an offer in the region of 35 million pounds.
