Leon Bailey signs contract with Aston Villa

National winger Leon Bailey has made his move to the English Premier League official.

Bailey, 23, signed his contract with Aston Villa on Tuesday night at the headquarters of the Phoenix All Stars Academy in Kingston, officially ending his five-year stay with German club Bayer Leverkusen.

Aston Villa reportedly paid £30 million for the player after his best season with the club, statistically, last season, scoring 15 goals and registering 11 assists in all competitions.

Bailey said in a press conference on Tuesday that he is looking forward to continuing his journey in his career, with the club, and is committed to continue learning and growing as a player.

"I've had a lot of interaction with the coach (Dean Smith), and the club, and it was always vibes, good energy, so I am excited to be there," he said. "I am really looking forward to the experience and to learn."

Aston Villa will open the Premier League season on August 14 against Watford.
