Off Spinner Jamie Merchant and medium pacer Derval Green took five wickets each to lead the Jamaica Scorpions to an innings and 14 runs win over the Windward Islands Volcanoes before tea on the third day of their West Indies Championship match at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium.

Resuming after lunch at 165 for six, still needing 44 runs to make Jamaica bat again, the Volcanoes were blown away for 195 with Merchant bagging a career-best five for 72 and Green also getting career-best figures of five wickets for 46.

Captain Kavem Hodge top-scored with 63 for Volcanoes before he was bowled by Green.

Final scores: Windward Islands Volcanoes 137 and 195, Jamaica Scorpions 346.
