Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce takes Zurich Diamond League’s 100m

Five-time World Championships 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce completed her season with her fifth Diamond League title at the Weltklasse IAAF Diamond League meet in Zurich, Switzerland today.

Fraser Pryce clocked 10.65 seconds, equalling the meet record for victory, her seventh 10.6-second clocking for the season in which all her times have been sub 11 seconds.

World Championships 200 metres champion Shericka Jackson was second in 10.81 seconds, while World Championships silver medallist Marie Ta Lou was third in 10.91. Natasha Morrison was disqualified after she false started.

Fraser-Pryce completes a 2022 campaign which saw her retain the World Championships title two months ago in Eugene, Oregon, where she ran 10.67 seconds, a championship record.
