Jamaica path to the knockout stage of the Women's World Cup will be a difficult one with France and Brazil as their group stage opponents next summer.

The teams learnt their fate this morning at the 2023 Women's World Cup Draw in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Reggae Girlz were drawn into Group F with last tournament's hosts and the fifth best team in the world as well as face a rematch with Brazil, who were in their group three years ago. The Reggae Girlz lost that opening game 3-0.

Jamaica’s final opponent will be the Group C playoff winner of either Chinese Taipei, Papa New Guinea, Panama or Paraguay, who they face next month in an international friendly. The winner will be determined in February.

Jamaica's entire group stage campaign will be in Australia and will begin against the French on July 23 in Sydney.

The Reggae Girlz will then face the playoff winner on July 29 in Perth before ending the group stage against Brazil on August 2 in Melbourne.
