STATHS advance despite 1-0 loss to St Jago

St Andrew Technical High School advanced to the quarterfinals of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup despite losing 1-0 to St Jago in their second-leg, second-round tie at Stadium East this afternoon.

Marcus Tudor scored in the 61st minute but could not get the crucial second goal required as the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate with STATHS advancing via the away goals tie breaker.

STATHS won the first leg 2-1 on Wednesday at the Spanish Town Prison Oval.

STATHS quarterfinal group will include Haile Selassie, the winner of the St Catherine vs Wolmer’s Boys’ tie or the winner of the Jamaica College vs Norman Manley tie.
